Providing the highest quality of care for your child is at the heart of what we do, and our team members are dedicated to providing rich, play-based experiences to support your child’s learning and development.
Each of our team members are given special responsibility for working with and caring for a small number of children and building effective relationships with you – their parents and families.
Your Child
Your child is completely unique and special in their own way! We want to get to know you and your child as much as possible so that your child feels cared for, secure and happy, and you feel confident and relaxed leaving them in our care.
By taking the time to get to know your child, we can also better support their learning and development in order for them to reach their full potential at their own pace during their time with us. This helps us to ensure that your child truly enjoys their early years experiences at nursery too.
The Key Person Approach
When your child first joins our nursery, they will be allocated a Key Person who will be responsible for ensuring your child feels safe and comfortable whilst they are away from home. They will also have a second Key Person who will cover your child’s Key Person if they are on holiday.
You and your child will meet the Key Person during your Settling in Sessions, where they will get to know you both. You will have the opportunity to share information about your child to ensure that we are caring for your child as you would want. Your child’s Key Person will also help your child become familiar with our nursery and comfortable with the other team members and the children in our care. We believe that it is important that your child properly settles into our nursery, their home away from home, and their Key Person will help to achieve this.
Any information we share with you will be predominantly through the Key Person. They will communicate with you at the end of each day to make sure that you don’t have to miss out on your child’s experiences at nursery.
