Settling in Sessions

At Langley Gorse Day Nursery, we believe that children flourish when their personal, social and emotional needs are met. With this in mind, we offer Settling in Sessions for your child before they start their nursery adventure. It’s extremely important that your child feels safe and secure at our Sutton Coldfield nursery before they start permanent sessions.

What to expect from Settling in Sessions

  • We will start to build relationships with you and your child
  • You will meet our team and your child’s Key Person
  • We will start to find out your child’s likes and dislikes, home routine and any specific requirements such as nap times, meal preferences and comforters

The main aim of these sessions is to ensure that you and your child feel completely happy before you start permanent sessions with us.

Our Nursery and Registration Fees

We run our nursery year from 1stSeptember to 31stAugust, and we close for a week at Christmas and all Bank Holidays. Fees are calculated from your booked attendance and based on our fee structure. They are calculated by taking your weekly attendance fee, multiplying it by 52 (weeks per year), then dividing this by 12 to create a monthly payment – payable in advance on the 1st day of each month by direct debit or by voucher.

To book a place we require a £75.00 non-refundable registration fee for a new family (Please note this fee is not applicable for fully funded sessions).

If you have a child at Langley Gorse already, or if you’re registering a place for more than one child, we can offer a 5% discount off your oldest child’s fees when their younger sibling joins us. Please ask at nursery for more information on this.

Langley Gorse Day Nursery’s OFSTED Report

Ofsted regulate childcare in the UK, and aim to achieve excellence in childcare, and in education and skills for learners of all ages.

They inspect all childcare settings, ensuring that those settings deliver effective support for children through the Early Years Foundation Stage. Following an inspection, the nursery receives a report documenting the inspector’s findings.

After the inspection of a setting, nurseries receive a full report of the inspector’s findings. Ofsted inspects us regularly, view our latest Ofsted report.

For more information on our childcare practice, standards, and how we do things, then contact us today and have a chat with the Langley Gorse team, who’ll be delighted to discuss this with you.
